About HyperFlex Wetsuits…

Henderson Aquatics the HyperFlex Parent Company has been around since 1965. Customers needing a wetsuit would come in and lay down on a neoprene sheet. The person’s outline was chalked up front and back and both sides were cut out and glued and sewn together. These were fully custom wetsuits and were the first wetsuits made here on the east coast. There was such a demand for wetsuits on the East Coast of the US, due to the cold water and harsh conditions, that wetsuit production began full time shortly thereafter

Hyperflex Wetsuits was launched in 2002 by Henderson Aquatics, the largest scuba diving wetsuit manufacturer in the world. For more than four decades Henderson has supplied wetsuits and gear not only to divers, but to surfers as well, so it was a natural progression to move into the surf wetsuit market. With over 40 years of wetsuit experience, we felt the time was right to expand into the surf market again, given our wetsuit expertise. This is not a unique situation, if you look at the beginnings of some of the other US wetsuit companies, their roots started in the dive wetsuit market which is older than the surf wetsuit market.

AMP 3/2 Fullsuit

The chest zipper closes easily and stays closed. The knee pads could stand a little more padding, but I have a feeling that would stiffen them.”

I surf in the NE (USA) year round, the water temps are extreme, so I always go for the top of the line wetsuit. I’ve worn this in 40+ degree water without problem. The cross chest zipper is better than a back zip, but tricky because you have to hook it to zip as opposed to just pulling the zipper closed. If Hyperflex corrects this, I’ll go 5 Star.”

Easiest overhead/chest zip design I have dealt with. Very flexible non binding paddle motion. Does hold you tight around neck although not uncomfortably a plus protection when duck diving and not feeling the neck to shoulder cold water flush. You won’t be disappointed”

The suit is a very snug fit and comfortable, the neck felt a little restricting but thats usually a good thing once your in the water. Its definitely very warm (was getting a little hot just trying it on) and packed with features for the price it holds. If you have the cash for this, get it.”
